2016 an installation inspired by the novel “the bride” written by the acclaimed palestinian writer ghassan kanafani. It reinterprets the novel and makes the daughter who was forcefully married to an older man in exchange of a rifle to fight the occupiers the main character. in alaa minawi’s interpretation the bride runs away in the woods and goes back to fight for her land with a knife.
