What is the workshop about? |
The workshop is an introductory course to the basics of improvisational theater. Improvisation, in theatre, is the playing of dramatic scenes without written dialogue and with minimal or no predetermined dramatic activity.
|
What is the approach |
The workshop invites participants to play! We'd rather call it a Playshop anyway. Through playing, participants will experience the learnings without a preplanned set of outcomes. At the end of each Playshop, everyone is invited to reflect on her/his experience in the theatre games and this is where the magic is revealed.
|
what is the objective of the workshop |
Through the training, participants learn the basics of improvisation, such as “yes, and…”, listening, story building, and more, in addition to conventional theater tools required to perform (staging, vocal projection, grounding, etc.).
